Due to the extreme heat, the cooling center at 522 Rock Run Road will be open Tuesday, June 30 through Friday, July 3rd, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day. 🌞🌞🌞 Residents are encouraged to stop in, cool down, and stay safe during the hot weather. The Elizabeth Township Civil Service Commission will be meeting on July 9th, 2026 at 5:30 pm at the Elizabeth Township Municipal Building. The Commission will be discussing the possibility of advertising open positions within the Police Department.

During a recent bridge inspection, the Penneman Avenue Bridge was found to be structurally deficient. Due to this finding, the Township is required to close the Penneman Avenue Bridge to ALL traffic until further notice. THIS CLOSURE WILL TAKE EFFECT ON THURSDAY, JUNE 25TH, 2026 AT 8:00AM. Notice is hereby given that the Workshop Meeting of the Elizabeth Township Board of Commissioners scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled. The next Regular Meeting of the Elizabeth Township Board of Commissioners will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the Conditional Use Hearing scheduled to be held by the Elizabeth Township Board of Commissioners on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. has been cancelled. The hearing concerned the conditional use applications for the Heracles Well Pad, located at 1753 Hayden Boulevard, and the Heracles Interconnect Pad, located at 1755 Hayden Boulevard. Any future hearing date will be separately advertised.

There will be no Planning or Zoning meeting for June 2026. There has been no business presented before either board. The next Planning Meeting is scheduled for July 15, 2026. The next Zoning Meeting is scheduled for July 22, 2026.

Embrace Essentials is a charity organization based at New Hope Assembly of God, and could be a great resource for those in need. This program provides infant formula, baby, toddler, and preschool foods, diapers/pull-ups, and wipes to infants and children in need in the area. Embrace Essentials is open to all parents and primary caregivers and is held every Sunday from 9 am – 10 am at New Hope Assembly of God, Elizabeth, PA, with a light brunch included.

Pastor Noah Stachelek of New Hope Assembly of God and 25 volunteers ventured out on Saturday, June 13, to clean up several Township parks and roadways in a program called Elizabeth Serves. Thank you Pastor Stachelek and all the volunteers for your hard work in keeping our Township beautiful!
