Sewage Bill Payments

Sewage bill payments may be made online, in person at the Legal Tax Service office, or at the large white drop box at the Municipal Building labeled “Legal Tax Service Sewage Payments”.

Effective 1/1/22, our current sewage rate is a minimum of $48.00 per month for the first 1,000 gallons of water usage. Should you use between 1,001-2,000 gallons of water in a one month period, the rate increases by $.008 per gallon over 1000 gallons.  Should you use between 2,001-4,000 gallons of water in a one month period, the rate increases by $.009 per gallon over 2,000.  If you use 4,000 gallons or more in a one month period, the rate increases by $.01 per gallon over 4,000.

Your current sewage is based on the metered water used by your water company. Should you see an increase in your sewage bill over a month or two, it is due to an increase in your water consumption.

You can now view your account electronically, and sign up to go “green” by opting out of mail and going to an email service. You must register your account prior to viewing/paying your bill.

*Please note that this is not a free service.  If you would choose to pay online through Legal Tax Service, a fee of $1.50 will be charged at the time of the payment.

Dye Testing

A dye test is not required for refinances.

Elizabeth Township does not have a list of preferred/recommended plumbers. Property owners may choose a plumber at their discretion as long as they are professionally licensed to practice in Allegheny County,
