Public Works Supervisor Position

Elizabeth Township, in Allegheny County Pennsylvania, is accepting applications for the Public Works Supervisor position.


This is a full-time, non-union, and exempt supervisory position that will manage a Foreman, a mechanic, and nine Class A laborers.


The Public Works Supervisor will perform high level supervisory and administrative work in the planning, organizing, directing, and oversight of Public Works Department operations and equipment, with occasional administrative and field work in the Code Enforcement Department and Administrative Department as needed.


The Public Works Supervisor will serve as the subject matter expert for senior leadership and the Board of Commissioners while providing results-oriented vision, leadership, innovation and management oversight to the Public Works Department operations and activities.


Work is performed during regularly scheduled hours and may involve additional hours as needed.


Availability to attend evening meetings is required.


Current Pennsylvania CDL Class B license is required.


Final candidates will be subject to drug and background checks prior to hiring.


The position is Exempt under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
